chamber music

In addition to her love of orchestral playing, she also enjoys chamber music of all kinds. She has played in string quartets, piano trios, and Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire. In 2016 she performed the Brahms Double Concerto with cellist Chas Barnard in the final round of the UO Concerto/Aria competition.

early music

Evans has studied baroque violin under Margaret Gries, Marc Vanscheeuwijck, and Robert Hill. She has performed as a member of the University of Colorado Boulder Early Music Ensemble and as an artist in University of Oregon’s annual Musicking Conference.

symphonic music

Evans is a currently member of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and performs with several other regional groups including the Boulder Philharmonic, Fort Collins Symphony, Greely Symphony, and Cheyenne Symphony.

new music

Evans has premiered a number of pieces for the Oregon Composer’s Forum and the University of Colorado Boulder Pendulum Ensemble. For her junior degree recital she premiered a solo violin suite by Isabel Austin. She performed as soloist for a violin concerto by Ramsey Sadaka. More recently, she partnered with percussionist Ryan Pride, performing works by Steven Snowden and Mario Carro in the finals of the Bruce Eckstrand Graduate Performance Competition.
